Helping dogs achieve superior health!
Many people assume that a dog's natural diet is a meat only diet. Unfortunately this is untrue as a meat only diet is highly unnatural and unbalanced. Meat should form only a part of the over-all healthy diet, which should include bone, fruits, vegetables, offal and other supplements as well.
The ingredients of Artisan Raw provide a good balance of macro and micro nutrients for optimal health. It comprises a diet of whole, natural, raw foods and homeopathic supplements. These supplements provide homeopathic and nutritional benefits that help to avoid or alleviate the problems that modern day breeding and incorrect nutrition have caused.
Our goal when creating Artisan Raw was to formulate a diet that mimics what a dog would eat in the wild. This is why our meal contains a balance of different meats in one formula. We believe that only once this goal of mimicking a natural, wild diet is achieved, the dog can reach its optimal potential in health and activity.
Our Ingredients Include:

An excellent source of highly digestible protein, high in amino acids and essential fatty acids. Also contains high levels of selenium, niacin and vitamin B6. A staple for many raw diets because it is easily digested due to the bones being made of mostly cartilage, which provides essential calcium. Chicken backs provide a great meat to bone ratio and are also high in essential fatty acids.
An essential ingredient for large breed dogs as they contain natural Glucosamine and Chondroitin. Glucosamine aids in the repair and renewal of damaged or worn cartilage and Chondroitin helps neutralize the destructive enzymes and improves the quality of the synovial fluid. The natural combination of Glucosamine and Chondroitin is found to be most effective for joint treatment. This is essential to help support joints stressed by a large-breed dog's greater weight.
Artisan Raw uses exclusively Top Grass Beef. It is
Beef is a first class protein. That is, it contains all the essential amino acids necessary for dogs of all ages, including growing dogs, pregnant dogs, female dogs feeding puppies and of course not-doing-so-much-dogs. Protein is its major role in healthy nutrition. It also supplies varying amounts of fat, water, vitamins and minerals. Because it supplies fat and protein, it also supplies energy. Raw beef is low in sodium and high in potassium. That is good news for dogs with heart problems. Of the meats, beef is the best source of and very high in iron as well as containing zinc, vitamin B2, B6, B12 and vitamin D.
Artisan Raw includes 6 different organs, heart, green tripe, kidney, liver, lung and spleen as our staple organs. they are high in protein and rich in minerals and vitamins. Containing vitamin A, D, B6, B12, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, phosphorus, iron, zinc, taurine, and pantothenic acid. It is important to know that the heart and tongue are not secreting organs and count as muscle meat. We do include heart as a staple lean meat in our beef content.
Fresh Whole Eggs
Described as nature’s perfect protein. Rich in choline, which is known to reduce inflammation. They are also high in selenium, iodine, vitamin B2, B5 and B12 and vitamin D. Eggs protect against loss of eyesight, cataracts and macular degeneration. The egg shell provides a good source of natural calcium.
Artisan Raw only uses Wild Salmon. High in omega 3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA. Salmon works to maintain a healthy heart and a strong immune system. It has also been shown to reduce inflammation from arthritis and skin conditions. It also stimulates the growth of a luxuriant, healthy coat.
A great source of vitamin A, vitamin K, folate, vitamin C, manganese chromium, folic acid and potassium.
High in antioxidants and flavonoids, apples are considered to be one of the “super foods". Unpeeled apples are especially high in non-pro-vitamin A carotenes and pectin. Pectin is a remarkable type of fiber that has been shown to exert a number of beneficial effects. Due to its gel forming fiber, it can improve the intestinal muscle's ability to push waste through the gastrointestinal tract. Pectin also binds to and eliminates toxins in the gut. Apples are also rich in beta carotene and vitamin C as well as several B complex vitamins including vitamin B6, folic acid and lots of potassium.
Rich in iodine, which is beneficial for glands and organs especially the thyroid and liver. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-rheumatic and antibiotic properties. Contains vitamin A, B1, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, C and E. It is also a source of zinc biotin, bromine, calcium, choline, copper, inositol, iodine, potassium, selenium, sodium, sulphur and other trace elements.
There are numerous health benefits to Garlic. To boost dogs immunity and prevent cancer. Garlic is a powerful antimicrobial and antibiotic and is effective in fighting various forms of bacterial, viral, or fungal infection, including parasites (e.g.tapeworms) and protozoan organisms (e.g. giardia). Fresh garlic fed as part of a dog's diet can fight infections of the mouth, throat, respiratory tract, stomach, or intestines. Garlic has detoxifying effects. At least six compounds contained in garlic can enhance liver function by helping the liver to eliminate toxins from the body, thereby preventing toxic accumulation that may lead to cancerous growths. Raw garlic helps to lower blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels in dogs. A compound in garlic is effective at preventing blood clot formation in the vascular system. It can also reduce cholesterol levels and fat buildup in the arteries (atheorsclerosis). The exact reason and extent of garlic's effect on tick and flea prevention is not clear. It may be due to the odor released through the dog's skin as the compounds in garlic are metabolized. Whatever the reason, there are a lot of anecdotal reports on the effectiveness of garlic as a tick/flea repellent.
Believed to be beneficial for a wide variety of conditions in dogs. Curcumin, an ingredient of turmeric, contains the most beneficial components of this spice. A potent anti-inflammatory, can be helpful for painful inflammatory conditions like arthritis, a common problem in dogs. Stimulates bile production in the liver, essential to the digestion of dietary fats. An antioxidant that removes free radicals from the body. Free radicals can wreak havoc in the body and possibly lead to such conditions as cardiovascular disease and cancer. The active ingredients in turmeric will also provide an antioxidant boost as well as a synergistic effect with other herbs increasing each other's beneficial effects.
This is an excellent source of many essential nutrients. By weight, red peppers have three times as much vitamin C as citrus fruit. Moreover, red peppers are a very good source of beta carotene, and they offer a good amount of fiber and vitamin B6. Pepper stimulates circulation and enhances blood flow, it is considered food for the circulatory system and as a digestive aid. Red peppers are one of few foods that contain lycopene, a phytochemical that may help prevent various forms of cancer.
